Queen Revealed As Big Brother Contestant
In a shocking announcement from Endemol UK, the production company behind Big Brother, the Queen of England, Her Royal Highness Elizabeth II, will be the first new contestant in the Big Brother house of 2004.
A press release from Channel 4 announced: "This is a calculated move to boost ratings for the show and will bring yet more groundbreaking television to Channel 4."
The reality television show was a huge hit in 2000 but has since gone to ever more desperate lengths to make headlines and hold the public's interest.
We, here at The Taxman, wanted to know how Her Majesty had been persuaded to take part in Big Brother 5, so we went to Buckingham Palace.
A man who claimed to know the royal family told us: "The Queen was delighted to be invited to Big Brother, as she has always wanted one to play with ever since her childhood."
Without wanting to give anything away, we quickly left the palace in a black cab.
What other contestants could possibly be in Big Brother this year? To find out, watch BB5 from 28th May.
Or if you have something better to do, do that.
